Nirvana : The Man Who Sold The World (1995)
We passed upon the stair
We spoke of was and when
Although I wasn't there
He said I was his friend
Which came as a surprise
I spoke into his eyes
I thought you died alone
A long long time ago
Oh no, not me
We never lost control
You're face to face
With the man who sold the world
I laughed and shook his hand
And made my way back home
I searched for form and land
For years and years I roamed
I gazed I gazed I stared
We walked a million hills
We must have died alone,
A long long time ago
Who knows?
Not me
I never lost control
You're face to face
With the Man who Sold the World

Nirvana: Smells Like Teen Spirit (1991)
I guess I need to get you out of 80's for time to time and share with you other kinds of music I like. Today, it will be "Smells Like tTeen Spirit" from the Seattle,WA group Nirvana. A symbol for Generation X (Grunge,punk,gotic...). Actually Metallica and Nirvana are groups that I started to listen because of my son (16) for whom this is the best music. So I started sharing with him 80's and 90's soft rock music and he got me to listen to his. The result is that we both discoverd good music and enjoy it together :-) and believe it or not, when I get on my computer to start thinking about how to architecture, design or solve a software problem, this is the kind of music I listen to :-)
Load up on guns, bring your friends
It's fun to lose and to pretend
She's over bored and self assured
Oh no, I know a dirty word
Hello, hello, hello, how low?
I'm worse at what I do best
And for this gift I feel blessed
Our little group has always been
And always will until the end
Hello, hello, hello, how low?
And I forget just why I taste
Oh yeah, I guess it makes me smile
I found it hard, it was hard to find
Oh well, whatever, nevermind
hello, hello, hello, how low?
With the lights out it's less dangerous
Here we are now, entertain us
I feel stupid and contagious
A mulatto
An albino
A mosquito
My Libido
Yay, a denial
